Stainless steel framework for internationally exhibiting glass artist, Matthew Curtis.
Each frame is individually custom made to fit the glass components in the artwork. A high level of accuracy is required so that each glass component can securely be fitted. It is also important that the surface finish of the stainless is uniform and of a high quality. Matthew's work is exhibited and sold all over the world and so they must be robust and of the highest quality to arrive as they should.
We have also made graphite tools and a custom parallel grinding machine to assist Matthew with his work. You can view these in the main project gallery.
Each plinth needed to be a high quality construction to display Nigel's artworks whilst not detracting from the artwork. The brushed satin finish compliments the timber artwork, whilst the geometric lines are sympathic to the overall form.
